Real Weddings

When friends and family come over they always ask “Oh can I see some of the most recent work you have done!?” So I thought today we should have “show and tell” on just add ginger. I handpicked three recent projects that I worked on and all of them are celebrating their WEDDING’S TOMORROW! Congrats Lisa + Corey, Emily + Brent, Allison + Andrew…

Local bride Lisa came to me with a request: put together a peacock themed wedding invitation that wasn’t “too cheesy, but modern and unique”… I was so thrilled to work with her on this project because with purple/turquoise/blues being so popular right now and the peacock accessory popping up all over I think it will be one we see more of in the future! To the drawing board I went with this one and put together a colorful and classic peacock feather that we would be used on a few of the pieces and then a unique type layout finished it off to create the perfect invite. Lisa loved it, I loved it and hope all the guests did too…

Lisa + Corey’s invites were printed on our shimmer metallic paper all enclosed in our deep purple metallic pocket envelope. Guest libs will be put on the tables for guests to have fun with during the reception. By Design Event Decorating is the couple’s wedding decorators and I can’t wait to see pics because their work is fabulous, and Lisa has such great taste! I may be a little biased though because they did my wedding decor as well : )

I REALLY loved working with Emily – she knew that her invitations were going to set the tone for her big day and wanted to make them absolutely perfect. We worked hard to get them exactly how she wanted: beautiful. Their wedding is taking place at the Air Force Base Cadet Chapel in Colorado and guests were coming from all over the country (including themselves) so we needed to have every detail included in the invitation so when they traveled the only thing they needed was their crisp white pocket filled with all the goods. Brent + Emily I wish you nothing but the best for tomorrow and hope it is everything you hoped for, all the work you put into it will be well worth it…

Emily + Brent’s invitations were a customized version of our hint of lace design printed on white matte 130 lb. cardstock all enclosed in a white linen pocket envelope. The rehearsal dinner invitations with the AWESOME engagement picture on the front used our season stripe design AND the programs were customized to match their invitations using our Storybook program layout.  One little extra is that… Emily and Brent (Alex is what everyone calls him, but Brett is his actual first name) will be living in Germany this summer and they put the link to their blog about their experiences on the back of their program for all guests to keep – what a great idea!

This set I am still swooning over the colors: MINT, CORAL and CHARCOAL GREY AHHH freakin awesome! Allison is such a doll and sent me this message once she received her invites in the mail, “I seriously can’t stop looking at the invitations I am obsessed and my fiance thinks I am crazy, but they are so perfect and love how they turned out!!” Take a peek for yourselves…

In addition to the invites + programs, I also helped to design matching table numbers, a monogram, guest libs and escort cards for the couple that Allison printed on her own. The Watermelon graphic poster invite design is what they picked out and then we customized with their  colors and the programs were designed to match their invitations using our Storybook program layout. Congrats to Allison + Andrew tomorrow – hopes she posts some pics (hint, hint) : )

have a great weekend

cheers, Gina
